Rafa was excellent. He put in the effort to get us on fish and really knows the area well. He was great with the whole family and made the trip enjoyable for everyone. I’d gladly fish with him again anytime.

I chose Capt. Rafa after seeing his video, and he lived up to it. He’s knowledgeable, genuine, and clearly knows the water. The bite was slow across the board, but my son and I still got into fish. Late in our 6-hour trip, he took us to a spot others passed on and used a different approach that paid off with a big one. Experience made the difference. Great day on the water, and the non-diet Coke in the cooler was a nice touch.

Great day on the water. The captain was friendly, attentive, and worked hard to keep us on fish. He stayed on the move and made sure everyone was having a good time. The cold drinks on board were a nice bonus, especially in the heat. Solid trip all around and easy to recommend.

We booked the 7 AM four-hour trip with Rafa and had a great experience. He’s personable, professional, and knows the lagoon inside and out after years on these waters. He worked hard the entire time to keep us on tarpon, even chumming to get the bite going. We had plenty of action with lots of strikes, though we lost a few along the way. We still managed to land two solid fish and had a really fun trip overall. If you’re looking to fish for tarpon around San Juan or Isla Verde, Rafa is a great choice. I’d book with him again anytime.

Capt. Rafa was a pleasure to spend the morning with. His knowledge of the area and tarpon made the trip a success. He was especially patient and engaging with my 5-year-old son, helping him catch his very first tarpon and even letting him feed the pelicans on the way back to the marina. We’ll definitely book with him again when we return to the area.

My wife and I have been fishing with Raf for 10 years and always come back for more! We started the day trolling and landed several snook. Then we went after tarpon, one of the smartest fish to catch. Despite their selective biting, Raf kept chumming around the bait. It was slow at first, but we eventually got four bites from some impressive fish. The first went airborne and spit the hook, the next two we got on the boat, and the last was a beast that wrapped around the anchor and snapped the line. What an incredible day! Thanks again for another great trip, Raf!

Captain Rafa is absolutely exceptional. Throughout the entire experience, he demonstrates professionalism, friendliness, and extensive knowledge. He expertly guided us in baiting and bringing the tarpon aboard the boat! I would highly recommend this trip for both beginners and seasoned fishermen alike.
